Flat Tire Change in Pleasant Hills, PA
A flat on Route 51 at rush hour is no place to wrestle with a jack. We come to you, put your spare on, and get you moving again.
Short answer: Proactive Roadside Assistance changes flat tires in Pleasant Hills and the South Hills. We put on your spare where you are stopped, or tow the vehicle if the spare is missing or flat. Available day and night. Call (412) 943-7116.
How Our Tire Change Works
- You call and tell us where you are and which tire is flat.
- We check the spare. Tell us if it is in the trunk or under the vehicle.
- We swap it. The flat comes off, the spare goes on, and the lug nuts are tightened.
- You drive to a tire shop to repair or replace the flat.
Before We Arrive
- Pull as far off the road as you safely can, onto flat ground if possible.
- Turn on your hazard lights.
- Stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on if you are on a busy road like Route 51 or Route 885.
- Find your spare, jack and wheel lock key if you have locking lug nuts.
When a Tire Change Is Not Enough
If the spare is missing, flat or the wrong size, if the wheel itself is damaged, or if more than one tire is flat, the car will need a tow. We can switch to light duty towing or a flatbed on the same call and take it to the tire shop you choose.
Locking Lug Nuts
Many cars have one locking lug nut on each wheel. It needs a special key, usually in the glove box, the trunk, or with the spare. Look for it before we arrive. Without it, the wheel may not come off at the roadside.
